Plant Pick Up Post 05/16

Red Buckeye bloom

Hello, my friends! How’s everyone doing on this fine Saturday? I spent my day doing errands and, most importantly, finalizing the plant order that my favorite native plant supplier is going to deliver to me! I’m getting lots of plants for restocking and some new natives for you. The order is getting delivered to me on Friday, May 29th. I updated the inventory so you can go ahead and place your orders, but please keep in mind that the plants on this list won’t be delivered to you until after the 29th.

May Plant Delivery Post

Smooth Hydrangea

Hello from me and Ziva!

A few days ago in a post called Coming Soon To Your Favorite Native Garden Shop I talked about the plants my suppliers are growing for me. Well, one supplier let me know today that a large part of my order is ready to go! Yay! Usually I pick up orders from my suppliers, but this order is way too big to fit in my truck so it is being delivered to me. I don’t have a specific delivery day yet, but it will be about the middle of May, which is only a couple of weeks away. I went ahead and updated the inventory of the plants coming in on that delivery. That means you can go ahead and place your order for them. But please keep in mind that delivery of them to you is 2 – 3 weeks out. You will get email updates of your delivery day when I get them in stock. I made a note on the description pages for all those plants repeating what I just said here because I don’t want y’all to be surprised that your order might take longer to get to you than normal.

02/07 Plant Pick Up Post

Eragrostis spectabilis, Purple Lovegrass

That dreadfully cold weather is gone for the moment, so it’s time to get back to picking up native plants for y’all to buy! Remember, in our area October through April is the perfect time to plant those perennials, shrubs, and trees. That’s because our soil doesn’t freeze which means their roots continue to grow through the winter. Then they are able to withstand the upcoming brutal summer much easier.

Plant Pick Up, Weather, and What-Not

Calico Aster full bloom

Hi there, my fellow flower freaks. Ziva and I hope everyone had a stress-free Turkey Day celebration. We sure did.

Speaking of Ms Ziva, her 9th birthday was Saturday, Nov. 30th. She was not real thrilled with the wearing o’ the birthday crown. lol Since the weather has cooled down, you’ll once again see her riding shotgun with me on deliveries.

02/26 Plant Pick Up Post

Whiteleaf Mountain Mint

Howdy. Before we get to talking about all the beautiful plants we’re getting this week, Ziva and I would like to say a very heartfelt “thank you” to all of our amazing customers. This month has been crazy busy with all the deliveries and visits to Bella’s garden shop, and we are enjoying every minute of it. Y’all have bought so many native plants that we’re sold out on oh so many of them. That, my friends, is not a bad problem to have. No worries though, along with being busy making deliveries, we’re also busy with picking up plants to restock Bella’s shop. So y’all keep buying them, and we’ll keep restocking them.

Perennial Sleepy-Time, Oak Garden

Viburnum obovatum 'Select'

Happy New Year to all my fellow flower freaks! You may have noticed I haven’t been very active on Bella’s social media over the holidays. Well, that’s because I decided to take a little bit of time off to recenter and regroup myself to get ready for what I hope to be an amazing 2024. But I’m back now and ready to be more social.

Showing Off The Plants We Got

Ocala Yellow Anise flowers

Yesterday Ziva and I did plant pick ups from two of our plant suppliers. One of them was a new-to-me supplier. They specialize in growing native plants, so I was excited when I found them. I’m always a bit apprehensive on the first order from a new supplier because there’s no telling what their plants will look like. Well, I have to say that the moment I drove through the gates into their nursery, I knew I’d found my new favorite native plant supplier!

Plant Pick Up Post for 05/08

Swamp Rose

Well, guess what it’s time for?? It is time for the very first Florida Plant Pick Up Post!

Let me explain exactly what that is for my new Florida peeps: I go to my suppliers every week to pick up plants for y’all to buy, so I make a weekly post listing all the plants I ordered and pictures of them. That way you know what’s coming in stock, and you can see which ones you want to order next. My Texas customers seemed to enjoy the posts, so I hope you do too. Now, let’s get to the plants!
