Milkweed, Caterpillars, and Pop Quiz

Was doing a walkabout through Bella’s area the other day enjoying all the birds, butterflies, and bugs that were hanging out with the flowers and foliage. I noticed that the Asclepias incarnata, Pink Swamp Milkweed, was looking bare of their leaves so I walked over to check it out. Three days. Three days was all it took for the caterpillars to eat almost all the leaves on the 15 plants I have in stock. Was I mad? Nope, because giving the cats the food they need is why we grow native milkweed.

02/26 Plant Pick Up Post

Howdy. Before we get to talking about all the beautiful plants we’re getting this week, Ziva and I would like to say a very heartfelt “thank you” to all of our amazing customers. This month has been crazy busy with all the deliveries and visits to Bella’s garden shop, and we are enjoying every minute of it. Y’all have bought so many native plants that we’re sold out on oh so many of them. That, my friends, is not a bad problem to have. No worries though, along with being busy making deliveries, we’re also busy with picking up plants to restock Bella’s shop. So y’all keep buying them, and we’ll keep restocking them.
