Plant Pick Up Post 05/16

Hello, my friends! How’s everyone doing on this fine Saturday? I spent my day doing errands and, most importantly, finalizing the plant order that my favorite native plant supplier is going to deliver to me! I’m getting lots of plants for restocking and some new natives for you. The order is getting delivered to me on Friday, May 29th. I updated the inventory so you can go ahead and place your orders, but please keep in mind that the plants on this list won’t be delivered to you until after the 29th.

Purple Coneflower and other stuff

I know y’all love Echinacea purpurea, Purple Coneflower, as much as I do. I was checking out the ones I have in stock this morning, and saw that one of them is blooming and quite a few have buds! And they’re doing that even though they are are still kinda small. How cute is that!

Mother Nature decided to remind us that it’s only February so winter is still lurking … even in Florida. Thankfully this is a short cold snap, with temps going back up to the beautiful 70s soon. One good thing about nativescaping is the plants don’t need any winter covering!

02/07 Plant Pick Up Post

That dreadfully cold weather is gone for the moment, so it’s time to get back to picking up native plants for y’all to buy! Remember, in our area October through April is the perfect time to plant those perennials, shrubs, and trees. That’s because our soil doesn’t freeze which means their roots continue to grow through the winter. Then they are able to withstand the upcoming brutal summer much easier.
