08/01 Plant Pick Up Post

As I type this, it’s raining here in Starke. There aren’t many things better than watching the rain fall, smelling the soil start to get wet, and listening to the thunder roll. I hope you’re getting some rain too.

Well, it’s August, y’all. Which means it’s hot and sticky and kinda gross outside. “kinda gross” is a scientific term for Florida’s August weather, ya know. lol You can still plant in August/September, just remember that the new plants will need more water than usual to get established.

May Plant Delivery Post

Hello from me and Ziva!

A few days ago in a post called Coming Soon To Your Favorite Native Garden Shop I talked about the plants my suppliers are growing for me. Well, one supplier let me know today that a large part of my order is ready to go! Yay! Usually I pick up orders from my suppliers, but this order is way too big to fit in my truck so it is being delivered to me. I don’t have a specific delivery day yet, but it will be about the middle of May, which is only a couple of weeks away. I went ahead and updated the inventory of the plants coming in on that delivery. That means you can go ahead and place your order for them. But please keep in mind that delivery of them to you is 2 – 3 weeks out. You will get email updates of your delivery day when I get them in stock. I made a note on the description pages for all those plants repeating what I just said here because I don’t want y’all to be surprised that your order might take longer to get to you than normal.

04/24 Plant Pick Up Post

I have some super cool Florida native plants coming to the Garden Shop this week! Eight species that I ordered from my supplier who grows them in 4″ containers are ready. woohoo! They’ve been added to the Garden Shop so you can go on ahead and place your order. Keep in mind that the containers these are in are smaller than the usual 1-gallon size I sell. That’s why the price for them is only $6.

03/24 Plant Pick Up Post

So excited to tell you about another native plant supplier that I found! She grows her natives from seeds, is in Alachua County, and grows some plants I haven’t been able to find locally. Her plants are in 4″ containers and will be $6 each. To compare, the 1-gallon size I sell is a 6″ container. So these plants will be a bit smaller than the 1-gallons, but so is the price. The group she’s growing for me will be ready in the April/May/June timeframe. Here’s what I’m getting:
