08/01 Plant Pick Up Post

Saltmarsh Mallow blooms

As I type this, it’s raining here in Starke. There aren’t many things better than watching the rain fall, smelling the soil start to get wet, and listening to the thunder roll. I hope you’re getting some rain too.

Well, it’s August, y’all. Which means it’s hot and sticky and kinda gross outside. “kinda gross” is a scientific term for Florida’s August weather, ya know. lol You can still plant in August/September, just remember that the new plants will need more water than usual to get established.

Lots of plants are still blooming and looking very pretty in Bella’s garden shop. I’ll do a separate post showing the pretty bloom pics. In the meanwhile, enjoy the beauty of the plant in the pic at the top of this post: Kosteletzkya pentacarpos, Saltmarsh Mallow. I just love her dainty pink blooms. I have it in stock in 1-gallon containers, $8.

I restocked a few plants this week for you. Click on the highlighted plant name to be taken to its Garden Shop page, which is where you can place your order.

My supplier is growing Zizia aurea, Golden Alexanders, for me. They should be ready any day now. Be sure to get on its waitlist so you’ll know right away when it’s back in stock.

Happy diggin’ in the dirt!
