11/30 Plant Pick Up Post

Eastern Sweetshrub blooms

Hello! Did everyone enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend? We sure did.

We’ve gotten some good rain, with more on the way. That’s always a good thing. Got a little chilly last night, and more of it tonight. One advantage of nativescaping with plants native to our zone 9 is they don’t need to be covered during the normal cold snaps.

Ziva and I are heading out to one of our native plants suppliers tomorrow to pick up a bunch of cool natives for your gardens. Here’s what we are getting. Click on the plant name to be taken to its description page. Description pages for the plants not linked will be created soon.

Now to the pictures!

Which one is your favorite?

Happy diggin’ in the dirt!

  1. Hi there. I heard about you through my friend Lisa Williams. She suggested I do a drift of Calamint. I have a kidney shaped bed maybe 13’ x 17’ with unsightly utility and telephone poles. What do you have available?

    1. Good morning. I have six of the 1-gallon Calamint in stock. I might be able to get more if my supplier has some still in stock. Here’s the link to the Calamint page. Let me know if you have other questions. Thanks!
