Halesia diptera, Two-Winged Silverbell

Hello there, my fellow flower freaks!

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be adding lots of new plants to the garden shop. The easiest way to see what’s been added since the last time you visited the shop is to click on the “Default sorting” drop-down box, then click “Sort by latest.” You’ll then see the plants listed chronologically with the newest showing first. Default sorting is simply alphabetical sorting.

Sort by latest example

I’ve added a new status of “backorder” to the plant inventory. Here are examples of what you’ll see when ordering and what they mean.

  • If you see “available on backorder” when you click on the container size you want, that means I don’t have it in stock but my suppliers do. You can go ahead and order as many as you need. Keep in mind that it will take one to two weeks to get backordered items to you.
  • If you see “5 in stock (can be backordered)” that means I have five in stock, but my suppliers have more of that plant in stock. So if you want, say, ten of them, go on ahead and order ten.
  • If it shows that I have a certain number in stock but doesn’t show that it can be backordered, then that means I have only that many in stock and my suppliers are out of them. The system will let you order only as many as I have in stock.
  • If you see “out of stock,” that means I don’t have any and my suppliers don’t have any. The system won’t let you order any when it’s at that status. But you can get added to the waitlist and get an email letting you know when it’s back in stock.

I think this will give you more access to the plants that you want. If you’ve been drooling over a plant that’s been out of stock, go on ahead and check to see if it’s on backorder now.

As always, I will keep you up to date on the status of your backordered items.

BTW, the gorgeous tree that’s shown in the pic is Halesia diptera. It’s already listed in the shop, but none of my suppliers have more ready yet. How beautiful would that one be in your Moon Garden!!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy diggin’ in the dirt!
