Got hummers?

But not sure which ones they are? Here’s an article with good info on which types of hummers visit where in Texas.

I bought Flame Acanthus and Black and Blue Salvia for my hummer visitors. They’re still sitting in the black nursery pots … I’ll do a post on them as soon as I figure out where they’re going in the garden. Now I’m just waiting on my hummer from the other day to come back for a visit and some nectar sipping!

Hummers!!

I had the most wonderful surprise happen this morning! I was sitting on the couch putting together my plan for opening Bella Jardins and creating a landscape design for my yard when this beautiful little hummingbird flew right up to the window and hovered there for a moment. I have no nectar plants in the garden yet, so there’s no reason she should be around here. But I believe she was telling me to hurry up and get her some nectar plants. What an amazing way to start my day.

I wasn’t quick enough grabbing my cell to get a pic of her, but here’s a gorgeous hummer pic courtesy of the interwebs.
