The Stokes’ Asters, Stokesia laevis, I have in stock are showing off their beautiful lavender blooms! I took this picture just a couple of days ago.
This plant matures at only 1-2 feet tall and wide, which makes it perfect for the front of your garden beds in a sun to part sun area. It does like to have some protection from our hot afternoon summer sun. Stokes’ is semi-evergreen to evergreen, which means you’ll still see its pretty foliage in the winter time.
Stokes’ is a repeat blooming perennial. It starts lighting up your garden in the spring, and continues off and on through the fall. How nice is that!
