Description
Botanical Name: Malvaviscus x ‘Pam Puryear’s Pink’
Common Name: ‘Pam’s Pink’ Turk’s Cap
Description: Absolutely stunning Texas Nativar perennial shrub with shell pink flowers that bloom through the warm season. Grows 4-6′ tall and wide. Likes part sun, can grow in full sun but needs more water to do so. Mine is grown in morning sun/afternoon shade and seems pretty darn happy. It’s pretty versatile as to what moisture it needs: is drought tolerant once established, but does great in rain gardens or soil that stays on the moist side. Excellent nectar plant for hummers, butterflies, and other pollinators. Produces berries that birds love. Flowers are edible for humans.
This plant in 1-gallon containers is 1-2′ tall and wide, not counting the container.
This plant in 3-gallon containers is 2-3′ tall and wide, not counting the container.
