Description: One of the largest and fastest growing of the native Texas sages. Rich green leaves with pink-lavender flowers. L. frutescens ‘Green Cloud’ are more tolerant of poor drainage and heavier soils than other Texas sages. Cold hardy to 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Sun to part sun. Very drought tolerant after becoming established. Grows 6′ tall and wide. Repeat blooms spring to fall, especially after rain showers. High deer resistance. Evergreen shrub.
Host plant for the Theona Checkerspot butterfly and the Calleta silkmoth.
