Botanical Name: Differs for each variety.
Common Name: Drift Roses
Description: Drift® Roses are a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses. From the former, they kept toughness, disease resistance and winter hardiness. From the miniatures, they inherited their well-managed size and repeat-blooming nature.
The low, manageable habit of Drift® Roses makes them perfect for gardens small to large and for containers. They brighten up borders, fill in empty spaces, meander around established plants, and can control erosion on hillsides and slopes. They’re fast growers once established. They’re bred to be disease resistant and easy to grows. Here in the hot, humid south they still will get some black spot, but it’s easily controlled and usually doesn’t get so bad as to kill the plant. They do best with a regular fertilizer routine of organic fertilizer. These are the perfect roses for people who don’t want the high maintenance of the modern hybrid tea roses.
Lemon Drift offers the perfect shade of yellow and creamy white to brighten the garden. This rose has a very bushy, compact, and rounded habit. Grows 1 to 1-1/2′ tall x 2-3′ wide.
