Plant Pick Up Post for 01/10

Mexican Buckeye flowers

Hello! I’m so excited that it’s time to get back to making the Plant Pick Up Posts for y’all to see all the latest pretties coming in stock. On this order, I’m focusing on either restocking or getting new-to-the-Boutique plants that bloom late winter/early spring cause I know we are all itching to bring color back into our gardens.

Here’s what Ziva and I are picking up on Tuesday:

  • *Gelsemium sempervirens, Carolina Jasmine Vine (new)
  • *Nyssa sylvatica, Black Tupelo Trees
  • *Lindera benzoin, Spicebush
  • *Crataegus opaca, Mayhaw Tree
  • *Diospyros virginiana, Common Persimmon Tree
  • *Halesia diptera, Two-Winged Silverbell Tree
  • Prunus glandulosa, Flowering Almond Shrub
  • *Prunus mexicana, Mexican Plum Tree
  • *Rhododendron canescens ‘Phlox Pink’ Native Azalea
  • *Xanthoxylum clava-herculis, Hercules’ Club Tree
  • *Wisteria frutescens ‘Dam B,’ Dam B Native Wisteria

Key: * Native/nativar to Texas, Louisiana, or Southeast US. (new) is the first time it’s been for sale in the Boutique.

Bella has lots of other plants in stock that bloom early to late spring, including Pink and White Flowering Dogwoods, Roughleaf Dogwoods, Redbuds, Ashe Magnolia, Native Honeysuckle vines (Coral Honeysuckle and Major Wheeler Honeysuckle), Little Henry Sweetspire, Buttonbush, Mexican Buckeye Tree (pic of this at the top of the post), Wafer Ash Tree, Lady Banks Rose, and many more. Click on this link: Spring Blooming Plants, to see all of them.

As usual, if you’re looking for a particular plant that isn’t listed, just let me know and I’ll see if my suppliers grow it. The list of new to the Boutique plants that I plan to have for you is very long, so keep checking back!

I know this next part is everyone’s fav part of these posts: the beautiful pics!

Happy diggin’ in the dirt!

  1. Can you add my email to list. I live with my oldest daughter and we are both big Gardners. Her house is for sale and will need a good native plant nursery for their new land. Thank you

    1. Good morning, Bonnie. Yep, I’ll do that for you. Thank you!

Talk to me!
