Louisiana Delivery Day and More

Tulip Tree Fall Color

Hello there, my fellow flower freaks! How’s everyone on this fine Thursday?? Ziva and I are having a very nice day, we’re about to do some Carthage area deliveries, then we get to come home so I can mow the grass. lol

Anyway. Tuesday was our first full day of delivering to our Louisiana customers. Yay! We went to Greenwood, Shreveport, and two deliveries in Keithville. Thank you, Louisiana customers, your business is greatly appreciated.

A Tulip Tree, Arizona Cypress ‘Carolina Sapphire‘, Bidens ‘Pretty in Pink,‘Powwow Wild Berry’ Coneflowers, ‘Cheyenne Spirit’ Coneflowers, and a native Persimmon tree went to their new homes. Click on the plant name to go to its info page.

Y’all, look at the size of that Tulip Tree! It’s in a 3-gallon container, is a good 6-7′ tall, and is only $22. I’m out of them at the moment, but will have more in a week or two. The gorgeous tree in the pic at the top of the page is a mature Tulip Tree in all of its Fall glory.

The Arizona Cypress is native to Arizona and west Texas. It will grow in East Texas and West Louisiana in well draining soils. I’ll get more of them in stock soon.

It’s that time of the year for the deciduous trees, shrubs, and perennials to start gearing down for their winter sleepy time. You can see that the Tulip Tree leaves are turning their beautiful yellow color, and the Persimmon is almost completely bare. Keep in mind that Fall is a perfect time to plant trees, shrubs, and perennials because it gives them time to get their roots established before the heat of the summer comes back around. So go on ahead and add them to your garden cart!

You might have noticed some non-native plants being added to the Boutique like Hosta and Japanese Maples. Those are a special order for a customer. I don’t plan on having them in stock on a regular basis, but if you want some, just know that I can get them for you. All ya gotta do is ask me if I can get whatever it is you’re looking for.

I still have some mums available, along with other cool season annuals. I’m gonna pot up some combo pots soon, so be looking for those.

We hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the week. Happy diggin’ in the dirt!
