I have a cute story for you that happened at yesterday’s Aspens Saturday Market.
A woman comes up to my booth and says “I’m here to see Ziva.” I reply “Oh no! She doesn’t come to the markets with me cause she doesn’t do well in crowded areas and she doesn’t like other dogs.” We continued talking, and she tells me she follows Bella Jardin’s FB page and really enjoys hearing about Ziva. Which made me happy all the way around. And, yes, I’m perfectly fine with y’all coming to see Ziva instead of me … it happened all the time when I had the store-front garden center and Gibbs went to work with me.
We did decide that I don’t post enough pics of Ms Z on Bella’s social media, so … here she is in all her blue-eyed glory going with me this morning to make a delivery. She looks grumpy, but I truly think she just doesn’t like to have her picture taken. Probably because I take so dang many of them. lol
She’s just the best travelling companion. She’ll sit in the seat for awhile, then get down in her hidey-hole on her blankie to take naps. She loves stopping at the state/national parks to get her walks in and to smell all the new smells of the areas. The only time she barks is if someone walks too close to her truck, because she’s very protective of her truck and of me. She’s six years old, will be seven on November 30th. I adopted her from St Charles Parish Humane Society in Louisiana when she was 6-1/2 months old (I lived in New Orleans at the time). She’s a pure-bred Catahoula, which is the state dog of Louisiana. Her unusual name comes from a character, Ziva David, on the TV show NCIS. Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs was her best bubby for five years until he went to the Rainbow Bridge a year ago.

It thrills me that y’all love my Ziva Diva as much as I do. And, yes, I will add more pics of her in the future.
Happy diggin’ in the dirt!
